About Us
Abiding Wholeness Ministries exists to help people slow down, pay attention, and be formed into the life of Christ—not just informed about Him.
In a world that rewards striving, performance, and spiritual shortcuts, we believe Jesus invites us into something deeper: abiding. Wholeness doesn’t come from trying harder or fixing ourselves; it grows as we remain rooted in Christ, allowing His life to reshape ours over time.
Abiding Wholeness is a formation-focused ministry devoted to cultivating inner healing, spiritual maturity, and integrated discipleship. We create space for honest faith, deep listening, and transformation that reaches the mind, body, and soul.
Our Heart
We believe many Christians are exhausted—not because they lack faith, but because they’ve been taught to do Christianity without being formed by Christ.
Abiding Wholeness exists for:
- Those who love Jesus but feel spiritually tired or fragmented
- Those who want depth without religious performance
- Those seeking healing, not hype
- Those ready to be formed, not just motivated
Our work is grounded in the conviction that wholeness is not self-improvement—it is union with Christ lived out over time.
What we mean by “Wholeness”
Wholeness does not mean perfection.
It means integration.
It is the slow, faithful work of allowing Christ to bring alignment between:
- our inner life and outer actions
- our beliefs and our bodies
- our wounds and our calling
We draw from historic Christian spiritual practices, Scripture, and lived experience to offer pathways toward healing that are contemplative, accessible, and rooted in grace.
What we offer
Through teaching, spiritual formation practices, studies, and resources, Abiding Wholeness Ministries helps individuals and communities:
- Move from spiritual striving to spiritual abiding
- Integrate faith into daily life, not just church life
- Engage Scripture in a way that forms the heart, not just the mind
- Develop rhythms that foster attentiveness, discernment, and healing
Our content is designed to be deep without being intimidating—and honest without being cynical.
Our foundation
Abiding Wholeness Ministries is firmly rooted in historic Christian faith and covenant theology, centered on the life, death, resurrection, and ongoing reign of Jesus Christ.
We believe formation happens best in community, through humility, truth-telling, and grace-filled practices that keep us attentive to God’s presence in everyday life.
An invitation
If you are tired of shallow answers…
If you long for faith that can hold both suffering and hope…
If you sense God inviting you deeper, slower, and truer…
You are welcome here.
Abide.
Be formed.
Walk toward wholeness.
How this takes shape
Abiding Wholeness Ministries is both contemplative and practical. Formation does not remain internal—it bears fruit in lives, communities, and systems that reflect Christ’s restoring work.
Two primary expressions of our ministry include Firm Foundations and our biblical formation resources.
| Firm Foundations | Formation studies and Resources |
| Firm Foundations is a faith-based residential and life-skills ministry for men rebuilding their lives after addiction, incarceration, homelessness, and spiritual dislocation. Grounded in the same formation-centered vision of Abiding Wholeness, Firm Foundations integrates: – spiritual formation and discipleship – practical life skills and vocational development – relational healing and community accountability – rhythms that support sobriety, responsibility, and dignity Our aim is not simply stability, but restoration—helping men become grounded, present, and capable of sustaining healthy lives rooted in Christ. (Firm Foundations operates as a distinct but aligned expression of Abiding Wholeness Ministries.) | Alongside our on-the-ground work, Abiding Wholeness creates study resources designed to move beyond information into transformation. These include: – Scripture-based formation studies (Genesis, Revelation, and beyond) – contemplative practices woven into teaching – resources for individuals, small groups, and leaders – tools designed for real life—not idealized faith Our studies are shaped to be accessible, Christ-centered, and honest, meeting people where they are while gently inviting them deeper. |
Why this matters
We believe formation must touch both inner life and outer life.
Healing the heart without equipping the hands leaves people vulnerable.
Teaching truth without practices leaves people unchanged.
Abiding Wholeness exists to hold these together.
Statement of Faith
At Abiding Wholeness Ministries, our faith is rooted in historic Christian teachings and shaped by a covenantal vision of God’s redemptive work in the world. We believe the gospel speaks not only to salvation, but to healing, formation, and restoration of the whole person.
God
We believe in one God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—holy, loving, and faithful. God is the creator and sustainer of all things and is actively at work bringing redemption and restoration to His creation.
Scripture
We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the inspired and authoritative Word of God. Scripture reveals God’s character, His covenant purposes, and His will for human life and formation.
Humanity
We believe humanity was created in the image of God, designed for relationship with God, others, and creation. Through sin, that image has been fractured, resulting in spiritual, relational, emotional, and societal brokenness.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human—the eternal Son of God who lived a sinless life, proclaimed the Kingdom of God, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, ascended to the Father, and now reigns as Lord. In Christ, God fulfills His covenant promises and restores what sin has broken.
Salvation
We believe salvation is a gift of grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Through union with Christ, we are forgiven, reconciled to God, adopted into His family, and invited into a lifelong journey of transformation.
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit dwells within believers, guiding, convicting, healing, and empowering them for holy living and faithful witness. The Spirit forms Christlike character and equips the Church for service.
The Church
We believe the Church is the covenant community of God’s people—called to worship, discipleship, mutual care, justice, mercy, and mission. The Church is God’s instrument for healing lives and restoring communities.
Formation & Wholeness
We believe the Christian life is a whole-person journey—spiritual, emotional, relational, and embodied. Through spiritual practices, discipleship, and community, believers are formed into maturity and wholeness in Christ.
The Kingdom of God
We believe the Kingdom of God has been inaugurated through Christ and is advancing in the world through the Church, awaiting its full consummation at Christ’s return.
The Hope of Restoration
We believe Jesus Christ will return to fully establish His Kingdom, judge with justice and mercy, and make all things new. God will dwell with His people forever in restored creation.
